Our Admissions Process:

Call

Let’s connect! We would love to discuss all of your questions and help you determine if Rooted Life Adventures is the right program for you!

Apply

Before applying, make sure you have read our Terms and Conditions, Essential Eligibility Criteria, and Program Rules. When you are ready, complete our online application and pay your enrollment fee, which is refundable if not accepted.

Meet

We will review your application and contact you for a virtual interview to get to know you and discuss your goals.

Consult

After your interview, we will contact your therapist (if applicable) and a parent or guardian to further determine goodness of fit for the program. Once accepted you will receive a Welcome email from us. This process should not take more than 5 days.

Prepare

Our team will walk you through everything you need to prepare for program, provide a detailed packing list, and a pre-travel virtual orientation.

Adolescent Programs Ages 14-17 | Young Adult Programs Ages 18-24

Our students are looking for an unforgettable adventure, challenging themselves to get out of their comfort zone, go on a journey of personal growth, and make lifelong friends. Our student is thoughtful and introspective with a desire to gain self-awareness and grow skills and understanding of empathy and emotional intelligence.


Our students must meet our Essential Eligibility Criteria. We also recommend each student be working with a therapist at home as you will experience new challenges out of your comfort zone on the program, however, it is not required. If you are not currently working with a mental health professional and you would like to, we can refer you to virtual therapeutic networks to utilize throughout the program.


Our student may be experiencing any of the following:

  • Failure to Launch
  • Academic Underachievement
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Adjustment Problems
  • Adoption, Anxiety/Depression
  • Entitlement
  • Family Conflict/Discord Grief and Loss
  • Identity issues
  • Internet Addiction
  • Isolation, Lack of Confidence
  • Lack of Motivation
  • Learning Differences
  • On the Spectrum
  • Mood Regulation Issues
  • Poor Self-Image
  • Poor Social Skills
  • Relationship Issues
  • School Issues
  • Previous Substance Experimentation/Abuse
  • Previous Trauma
  • Video Game Addiction

Our program is not suited for students:

  • Experiencing acute mental health crisis
  • Currently experiencing suicidal ideation
  • Exhibiting self-harming behaviors
  • Experiencing psychosis/schizophrenia
  • Primary substance addiction or students at risk for withdrawal
  • Displaying out-of-home aggression
  • Diagnosed with certain types of mental health disorders
  • Who are not compliant with medication
  • Who are perpetrators of bullying
  • Exhibiting certain types of high risk behavior
  • Requiring regular access to specialized medical care
  • With certain types of chronic health conditions
  • Severe eating disorders

Please note, we do not provide any clinical services, instead we focus on therapeutic coaching

in a wellness environment and coordinate virtual visits with the at home clinician of your choice.
